Since the first walk in 1987, and it’s founding in 1984, DAP Health has strived to remove the shame, stigma, discrimination, and health inequities facing people living with HIV/AIDS. I walk so that DAP Health can continue to provide comprehensive and compassionate care including primary medical care, HIV and Hepatitis specialty care, dentistry, social services, case management, mental health and addiction services, and much more. I walk because while I know that DAP Health provides all of this to those living with HIV, they also provide all of these services to everyone no matter what your status is. I walk to support DAP Health’s continuing efforts to prevent new cases of HIV through education, testing and sexual wellness care, including PrEP and PEP. I walk because Health care should be accessible to all people. Period.
